Underground Maps Unravelled, Explorations in Information Design
Exhibition of maps by Maxwell Roberts and the launch of a beautifully illustrated book of seriously researched proposals for underground (Metro) maps.... even suggested alterations to the iconic London Underground map.
"Travel by public transport in any city around the world, and the chances are that sooner or later you will find a stylised map whose routes have been drawn as straight lines – horizontal, vertical, or 45º diagonals – joined by tight corners. The geography has been considerably distorted, and most of the surface details are missing, but the people who produced the map hope that you will find it easy to understand, and that it will encourage you to make use of the network more often."

This much anticipated annual event kick starts the Graduate shows at the College. The Fashion Show at the College is always eagerly awaited - it's a treat to see and never fails to impress.
This year twenty eight students presented their work on the catwalk. There was also a "static show" of shoe design and accessories. If you missed it all you can see the video of the cat walk presentation during the design degree shows which take place at the end of June at Kensington Gore.

Pioneering video artist and sculptor, is showing a commissioned installation work "End Piece... 1001 TV sets". This powerful work makes reference to the digital switchover from analogue TV to digital TV which takes place in London next month (18 April 2012).
