The Royal College of Art And the First World War

RCA Library Commemorates Great War with Remembrance Exhibition.
In 2014 a small commemorative exhibition was held at the College 24 October 2014, inspired by a memorial plaque to former students who had died during the First World War. Percy Metcalfe, the sculptor responsible for the memorial, had himself interrupted his studies at the College to join the army. He later returned to the College following the end of the war and his discharge from the army.
Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, SW7 2EU
Runs 24 October – 19 December 2014.
To visit the exhibition please book an appointment by contacting special-collections@rca.ac.uk. There will be availability for group bookings on Saturday 15 November 2014.
