Dear RCA Society Member

The Royal College of Art Society would like to invite you to our Annual General Meeting. this year our AGM will be held outside London (in Kent), on Saturday 2 August. Doreen Wilcockson has kindly offered to host the AGM at her lovely house located in the countryside near Tenterden*.

The AGM will be combined with a day in the country - Members are asked to make their own way to Doreen's, though there may be a limited number of seats in members' cars traveling from London.

We aim to get most of the 'business' of nominations and committee membership, preparation of the annual report, accounts and reporting back done as soon as possible to enable the meeting to be brief. After the AGM business is concluded and weather permitting members will enjoy a day lazing around and picnic'ing in the Kent countryside. We would like to see you actively participating in the Society and especially on the Management Committee. You can do this by either nominating yourself or others for an ‘executive position’ or as a ‘committee member’. Your nominations and recommendations to be received by me or another committee member a in good time before the AGM. As usual the AGM report will be sent to all members prior to the AGM. Also be sure to check out the RCA Society website (calendar) for updates, news and more information.

As usual our aim is for the RCA Society AGM to be a good mix of the seriously constructive with a predominantly "social" ethos.

regards,

All members are welcome to attend the AGM and bring a friend or colleague with you. However those of you whose membership has lapsed or those of you who would like to take part in our activities need to renew their membership or join up. Our annual membership fee remains at £10. You can either join on line through “PayPal” or take out a standing order which is downloadable on our website or send a cheque payable to the RCA Society as detailed on the online membership form.

If you live outside London or abroad, which makes it difficult for you to come to our regular events and activities, you can always participate through our website. Of course there is no reason why you shouldn’t set up ‘satellite’ groups to create a network of RCA Society members.

For full information about the RCA Society always check out our website. The Annual Report will be mailed to current members before the AGM, and later posted on our website. So we can keep you in touch with the RCA Society please keep us up to date with your contact details and your activities.
