Established over 25 years ago the MA Curating Contemporary Art (CCA) Programme is recognised as an international leader in curatorial education and training and for its commitment to collaborative group project-based work that integrates theory and practice. The CCA Programme approaches the field critically, theoretically and through best practice in commissioning, curating and programming with London-based and international arts organisations and spaces. These partnerships ensure that the skills, knowledge and understanding of these practices are grounded in the context of public audiences, urbanisation and the digital. CCA is part of the RCA’s School of Arts and Humanities, led by Professor Victoria Walsh. This year’s graduate project course has been led by Kelly Large with project tutors, Rebecca Heald and Shama Khanna.
CCA Show 2019 – CAMPUS Fugitive: The Unexpected Beautiful Phrase
In partnership with Nottingham Contemporary
The Unexpected Beautiful Phrase is a one-day programme of gatherings and performative moments, exploring modes of learning through ideas of fugitivity and illegibility. This project is part of the launch programme for CAMPUS – Nottingham Contemporary's new independent studies programme.
CCA Show 2019 – For the Time Being

For the Time Being is a programme of live-photo performances using the social media app Snapchat. Existing only for a few moments, each intervention will question ideas of nostalgia, collective memory and intimacy as they are experienced through digital networks.
CCA Show 2019 – Fragmented Follies
In partnership with Pump House Gallery
Fragmented Follies is a new outdoor commission by Sam Jacob Studio. The sculptural installation draws upon the layered architectural and cultural histories of Battersea Park and its neighbourhood, combining site-specific elements which reference the park’s past, such as its Victorian ironwork and the structures left behind from the 1951 Festival of Britain.
CCA Show 2019 – Re: Over everything which exists under the sky

Re: Over everything which exists under the sky is a temporary, collaborative research studio at Gasworks exploring what it means to be a resident in both the nomadic global art world and the wider geopolitical context of restricted movement and borders.
