Data visualisation has been a niche subject for over 10 years developing from the need to make sense of large datasets. Initially the realm of people with mathematical skills, visual designers are increasingly having there mark. More recently the term ‘data manifestation’ brings in many more creative skills into conveying the understanding of comparative numbers into everyday life. At a recent Society meeting there was a concurrent a private view of results of a data manifestation cross disciplinary workshop in the Stevens Building. Members were treated to data in a creative blast of  3D, sculptural, and performance.
